to investigate the flow regime at the Antikithira Strait, where the recent observations of the PELAGOS programme (PELAGOS, 1996) showed that the Cretan Dense Water (CDW) outflow occurs
to quantify the present hydrodynamic transport
to provide a consistent data set both for validation of the models and the assessment of complementary programmes
